In September 2025, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University will introduce a new master’s degree program aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the technology, quality assessment, and expertise of coffee, tea, and cocoa. The announcement was made by the university’s press service.
The program, titled “Expertise and Technologies of Products from Subtropical Raw Materials (Coffee, Tea, Cocoa),” will be offered through the Faculty of Food Technologies. It is the first specialized program of its kind in Ukraine and only the sixth such program worldwide.
The curriculum integrates knowledge from food technology, chemistry, biotechnology, logistics, and international certification. Students will gain practical experience in modern laboratories, working with analytical equipment, conducting sensory evaluations, performing physicochemical analyses, and engaging in HPLC research. According to the program’s developers, this comprehensive training will enable graduates to participate in international scientific research initiatives.
Students will also have opportunities to undertake internships at enterprises in Ukraine, Europe, and Latin America. The program runs for 1 year and 4 months and is available in three formats: full-time, blended, and part-time.
Admissions for the first cohort are now open. Applicants must pass the Unified Entrance Exam as well as a specialized entrance examination.
