More than one thousand educators have successfully completed specialized training programs designed to enhance their skills in working with children who require individualized approaches in educational settings. The professional development initiative focused on providing psychological and pedagogical support and introducing innovative educational service models for children with special educational needs.
Between February and March 2025, educators took part in a series of professional events, including webinars, trainings, workshops, and seminars. The program placed particular emphasis on:
-
Methods for working with children with intellectual disabilities
-
Principles of individualization and differentiation in the learning process
-
Use of sign language for communication with children who have complex developmental disorders
-
Support strategies for children with autism spectrum disorders
-
Techniques for developing musical abilities in visually impaired children
Creating educational materials using Canva tools -
Application of specialized programs for planning activities in preschool institutions
Research into educators’ professional competencies highlighted several challenging areas, such as adapting educational materials, developing individual educational trajectories, integrating corrective components into lessons, and effectively assessing student progress.
Training sessions were delivered by experts directly involved in creating educational materials for special needs education. The project was implemented with the support of state institutions and civil society organizations working together to improve inclusive education in Ukraine.
Organizers emphasize that the initiative’s primary goal is to equip educators with the tools and knowledge necessary to create a supportive learning environment for every child, regardless of their needs. This effort represents an important step toward ensuring equal access to quality education for all.
