Travel Book. Education is a new educational initiative designed for elementary school teachers, parents, and students.

The project, titled “Travel Book. Ukraine,” aims to equip primary school educators with ready-to-use lessons that enhance children’s cultural, historical, and civic education.

The initiative includes five high-quality lessons in an edutainment format, inviting students to explore engaging and unexpected topics: Was Taras Shevchenko really pierced? How might Lesya Ukrainka have used social media? What were the dramatic events of the Chernobyl disaster? Who would compete for the throne of Kyiv? And what secrets lie behind Ukrainian symbols previously unknown to many?

The printed version is available for pre-order on the official website, while individual lessons in digital format can be downloaded free of charge.

What’s Inside the Workbook?

Each of the five lessons has been developed using modern methodologies and interactive components, adaptable for in-person, distance, or blended learning formats.

“The war has reshaped everyone’s life, including the educational process. The idea behind this project is to offer a meaningful and engaging way to explore our past and present—whether from a makeshift classroom in a Kharkiv basement, during forced emigration, or after a sleepless night following an air raid. The Travel Workbook will prove valuable not only for schools and international educational centers abroad but also for parents of children aged 6–12. Together with the workbook, they will receive a ready-made tool to capture and maintain children’s attention,” noted the project’s author, Iryna Taranenko.
