Zaporizhzhia libraries launch free Ukrainian language educational program

Starting September 12, a three-month educational course aimed at improving Ukrainian language proficiency will launch in Zaporizhzhia's modern library spaces. The initiative is free of charge and open to all city residents, regardless of age or initial level of preparation. The primary goal of the project is to help participants overcome language barriers, build speaking confidence, and expand the daily use of the state language.

The learning process will combine the mastery of grammatical norms with practical immersion in the city's cultural environment. Beyond language exercises and active conversational practice, the program includes the joint analysis of modern and classical Ukrainian literature. A key component of the training will be extracurricular activities, which include visits to local theaters and museums, exploration of folk traditions, and meetings with prominent Zaporizhzhia residents who will share their personal journeys of mastering the language.

Classes will take place twice a week — on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and Saturdays at 11:00 AM. To join the program, participants must complete a preliminary questionnaire via the online registration form.
