Government allocates UAH 3 billion for modern educational infrastructure development

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a UAH 3 billion subvention for the comprehensive modernization of school environments within the framework of the New Ukrainian School reform. Funding in the amount of UAH 1.3 billion will provide gymnasiums completing their network transformation with modern STEM labs, science classrooms, and multimedia equipment, while an additional UAH 1.2 billion is allocated to equip pilot specialized lyceums, specifically for the procurement of digital hardware and licensed software for institutions operating remotely in frontline regions. Furthermore, UAH 500 million is designated for upgrading the material and technical base of Defense of Ukraine training centers in schools and resource hubs.

The provision of state funds is carried out on a co-financing basis with local budgets, provided that local communities fulfill the mandatory requirement of renovating the premises. All procurement must comply with Ukraine Facility transparency standards, ensuring a strategic transition from piecemeal equipment upgrades to the holistic creation of an innovative educational environment.
