According to the results of a sociological survey conducted by the "Slovo i Dilo" analytical portal in late June 2026, public opinion remains divided regarding the capacity of Ukrainian educational institutions to meet the demands of the future labor market. The findings reveal a minimal gap between opposing viewpoints: 39% of surveyed citizens consider the current quality of education to be uncompetitive for post-war reconstruction, whereas 38% of respondents express the opposite confidence, believing in the potential of Ukrainian schools and higher education. Meanwhile, nearly a quarter of the population — specifically 23% — has not yet been able to clearly define their stance on the matter.

A detailed breakdown of the responses indicates a prevalence of moderate views on both sides. Among the skeptics, 27% describe the education system as "rather unprepared" and only 12% as "completely unprepared." Similarly, among the optimists, 25% chose the "rather prepared" option, while 13% deemed it "fully prepared" for new challenges.

The survey, conducted via the CAWI method on the "Lemur" platform among 1,200 internet users, also revealed significant disparities in opinions based on the age and gender of respondents. Notably, the highest level of optimism was recorded among young people aged 18 to 29, where a combined 47% of those surveyed consider Ukrainian education to be competitive. In terms of gender, men expressed considerably more skepticism, with nearly half of them (45%) negatively assessing the future prospects of graduates, compared to 33% among women.
