The "Dobrobut" medical network, in cooperation with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Veteran Hub platform, has launched the educational initiative "Medical Education for Heroes." The program aims to facilitate the professional adaptation of male and female veterans with a medical background who seek to refresh their practical knowledge after military service, confirm their qualifications, or master a new specialization. Based on a competitive selection process, 20 participants will receive tuition-free training and earn certificates granting them the right to practice in the healthcare sector.

The educational process is structured in a hybrid format—combining online learning with in-person training at Dobrobut clinics and the Dobrobut Academy in Kyiv. The average course duration is three months. Trainees are offered 15 specializations, including physical and rehabilitation medicine, clinical psychology, emergency medicine, surgical oncology, cardiology, ultrasound diagnostics, and healthcare management. Candidates independently select their specific specialization based on their previous experience and intended career path.

Key eligibility criteria include a professional medical degree, documented status as a combat veteran or a person with a war-related disability, and demonstrated motivation to work in the medical field. Professional recognitions and certificates from additional training will serve as an added advantage during selection. The deadline for online applications is August 2, 2026; results will be announced on August 18, and the courses will run from September through November.
