National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” has announced the start of registration for the second intake of the “Veteran Master’s Program” educational project for the 2026–2027 academic year. The initiative is implemented in partnership with appflame and the Genesis for Ukraine charitable foundation. The program aims at the professional adaptation of Ukrainian defenders and the development of the Ukrainian prosthetics and rehabilitation engineering sector.
Combat veterans holding a higher education degree in any field can obtain a master’s degree free of charge in “Biomedical Engineering” or “Applied Mechanics.” The 1.5-year study process covers 3D modeling technologies, additive manufacturing, and the design of engineering solutions for limb amputees. Tuition is fully covered by grant funds; additionally, master’s students receive a monthly stipend and accommodation in dormitories with improved living conditions.
Prior to enrollment, all candidates will complete an intensive one-month preparatory course to master basic engineering skills. Applications will be accepted until July 27. The project allows veterans to leverage their personal experience to develop modern recovery technologies and integrate into a high-demand, high-tech sector of the economy.
