National resistance is a system that allows every citizen to contribute to the defense of the country. Its main goal is to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities through citizen training, development of territorial defense, and support for the resistance movement.
This system officially came into effect on January 1, 2022, based on the Law of Ukraine “On the Fundamentals of National Resistance,” which was passed by the Verkhovna Rada in July 2021 and signed by the President in August of the same year.
This fall, a new location for the Citizens’ National Resistance Training Center is being prepared in the Kyiv region for those interested.
