On September 1, 2026, the piloting of a new model for senior profile schools commenced in select lyceums. As part of a joint initiative by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the World Bank under the LEARN project (supported by the URTF fund), over 5,000 teachers, school administrators, and trainer candidates are undergoing practical training organized in collaboration with Educational Era and GO GLOBAL.Teacher training focuses on mastering a competence-based approach, adapting model curricula, developing elective courses, and creating modern assessment tools. The instruction aims to foster students' agency—their ability to independently choose an educational path and solve practical problems. Concurrently, management teams work through strategic planning, staff development, and resource management with ongoing expert guidance.
A distinct training track is dedicated to forming regional trainer teams. These certified specialists will provide methodological support to educators nationwide, establishing the necessary groundwork for the full-scale national rollout of senior profile schools across Ukraine starting September 1, 2027.
