Starting in January 2026, Ukraine will launch the "Money Follows the Teacher" pilot project, implemented through the national platform "Vector." This initiative fundamentally changes the approach to professional development: teachers of grades 7–10 and school administrations (up to 100,000 participants in total) will receive 1,500 virtual hryvnias in personal accounts. These funds can be freely spent on training from any provider listed in the platform's unified digital catalog, allowing educators to manage their own professional growth independently.
"Vector" functions as a user-friendly marketplace for educational services, where users can not only choose courses but also take tests to identify areas for growth, receive personalized recommendations, and automatically generate certificates. To participate in the pilot, teachers must register in January or February 2026; each profile must be verified by their educational institution. A feedback system on the platform will help rank the best programs and training providers.
It is important to note that starting July 1, 2026, registration on the platform will become mandatory for all educational service providers, while the use of "Vector" will remain optional for teachers. Educators not participating in the pilot project can continue their professional development using the previous procedures. However, registering on the platform provides access to state funding and simplifies the search for relevant courses in a single repository.
