The Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, dedicated to education shaping the world, will take place in Kyiv this fall. The central theme of the summit will be "Education that Shapes the Future of the World."

"For four years, our summits have brought together first ladies and gentlemen, leading experts, government representatives, civil society, and thought leaders from various countries. Even amidst full-scale war, the previous three summits have provided a platform for constructive dialogue. Our community is a powerful voice for humanitarian initiatives and bridges between cultures," noted Ukraine's First Lady.

This year's event will focus on education as a key factor in global development.

"The summit is not just an international event but a space for strategic contemplation of the future. Education is not just a basic right or societal need. It is the key to peaceful coexistence, sustainable development, equal opportunities, and dialogue between nations. In an era of geopolitical upheavals and conflicts, education has the potential to shape a conscious, resilient, and peace-loving generation," emphasized Zelenska.

During the summit, participants will concentrate on key educational challenges:

• Why millions of children worldwide lack access to quality education and how to change this.

• The significance of teachers in modern education.

• The impact of digital technologies on education—how they help and where they may hinder.

• Can education become a tool for achieving peace and mutual understanding?

Initiated by Olena Zelenska in 2021, the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit is an international initiative uniting spouses of world leaders to collaboratively address pressing humanitarian issues of global significance.
