AgriAcademy and the agro-industrial holding "Astarta" have launched a free, certified online course "Peas. Biological Features of the Crop."
The demand for legumes is constantly growing, driven by the development of export markets and the need to restore soil fertility. Peas remain one of the most effective crops in the rotation, and a deep understanding of their biology is crucial for ensuring stable yields, especially in challenging climatic conditions.
The curriculum, prepared by Astarta's specialists, provides agricultural producers with practical, scientifically-based knowledge that can be immediately applied. The new training module examines in detail the biological features of peas that determine their yield potential, as well as the impact of factors such as temperature, light, and moisture on germination, early development stages, and the formation of the future harvest. The course will be useful for practicing agronomists, managers, students, and farmers who seek to improve their cultivation technology.
The chief expert of the course is Volodymyr Kuryachyy — a renowned agronomist from the Poltava region with over 40 years of experience, who has been working as the chief agronomist for the Poltava region at Astarta since 2019. Olha Veiler and Svitlana Semeniuk also worked on the course.
The training is free and available at any time on the AgriAcademy platform, allowing agricultural workers to study without interrupting their work. Attendees receive interactive presentations, video lectures, and practical assignments, as well as the opportunity to receive a certificate after successful final testing. Other training programs from Astarta's specialists on growing sunflowers, corn, rapeseed, and sugar beets are also available on the AgriAcademy platform.
