The National Bank of Ukraine has developed three elective programs for students in grades 10–12, which have already received official endorsement from the Ministry of Education and Science. These new disciplines logically extend the core course taught in grades 8–9, ensuring continuous education. As a result, during the 2026–2027 academic year, financial literacy will span the entire high school curriculum, building upon programs already studied by nearly 400,000 students using materials designed by NBU experts.
The newly developed courses maintain a strictly practical focus. The "My Financial Plan" curriculum teaches effective budget management, saving, and investing through the creation of individual strategies. Meanwhile, the "My Financial Goals" course focuses on analyzing real-life situations to determine priorities, and the "My Business Plan" discipline combines financial tools with the foundations of socially responsible entrepreneurship. The integration of this knowledge aims to cultivate a financially literate generation capable of managing capital effectively and actively rebuilding the national economy.
