The Ministry of Education and Science has announced a call for applications for the second phase of piloting the senior high school reform, set to begin on September 1, 2026. Selected academic lyceums will be the first to implement the three-year specialized education model (grades 10–12), which will serve as the foundation for nationwide changes starting in 2027. Project participants will receive methodological support, resources for infrastructure modernization, and updated educational programs.
Educational institutions or their founders can submit applications until January 26, 2026. Special attention will be given to rural schools, institutions teaching in national minority languages, and lyceums already piloting the "New Ukrainian School" (NUS) curriculum in 9th grade within designated regions. Following the creation of a preliminary list, schools must provide confirmation of parental consent by February 27. The final list of 150 participating lyceums will be approved in March.
