The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has initiated a public discussion on the concepts of educational sectors within the The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has launched a public discussion of the draft concepts of educational sectors — a key stage of the reform of general secondary education within the "Education for Life" strategy. Educators, parents, experts, representatives of the community, and all those interested in transforming modern schools are invited to participate.

The "Education for Life" strategy aims to provide a coherent and coordinated learning environment where the content of education, teaching methods, and the physical space of schools contribute to the comprehensive development of students and their readiness to face the challenges of the modern world. This policy is a logical continuation of the "New Ukrainian School" reform and is aimed at its deepening and scaling.

The project of concepts was formed based on extensive analytical work. During the preparation process, a nationwide survey of teachers, students, and parents was conducted, along with a series of sectoral consultations with experts, representatives of the public and private sectors. All collected proposals were analyzed and systematized by an interdisciplinary working group, which developed coherent conceptual frameworks for each educational sector.

The documents outline the vision of the content, objectives, and structure of education from grades 1 to 12 in each field of knowledge, as well as identify the challenges that modern education should address. A systematic approach to the implementation of the learning process is proposed, taking into account interdisciplinary integration and the gradual formation of competencies.

These concepts will serve as the basis for further changes in the education system up to 2030, including:

* updating model educational programs;
* development of modern textbooks and teaching materials;
* implementation of new teacher training programs;
* recommendations for the modernization of school infrastructure and learning spaces.

Suggestions and comments on the draft concepts will be accepted until August 12, 2025, at the following email addresses: tetiana.mieshkova@mon.gov.ua, yevhenii.simenyk.mon@gmail.com.
