The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has adjusted the allocation of state-commissioned professional development programs for specialists in 2026, including three leading higher education institutions in Kharkiv. According to the ministry's decree, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, and H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University have been collectively allocated over UAH 1 million to fund training for 740 participants.

The distribution of funding and enrollment quotas reflects the specific focus and scale of training at each institution. In particular, V. N. Karazin KNU received the largest share, with UAH 787,250 allocated for the training of 510 individuals. Simon Kuznets KhNUE was awarded a state commission worth UAH 100,159.6 for 180 participants, while H. S. Skovoroda HNPU will implement educational programs for 50 specialists with funding totaling UAH 148,850. The core thematic focus of the courses centers on modern challenges: the integration of artificial intelligence tools, cyber hygiene, the development of inclusive environments, countering disinformation, as well as psychological support and anti-corruption management in education.

This regional initiative is part of a large-scale nationwide professional development program scheduled for 2026. Across Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science has designated 11,915 training spots for specialists, allocating UAH 179.4 million from the state budget for the implementation of the respective state commission.
