Kyivpastrans launches free trolleybus driver training program

Starting August 1, a new training course will begin in the capital for those interested in becoming trolleybus drivers. The program is offered free of charge at the Kyivpastrans Training and Course Center. The company’s official press service announced the enrollment campaign.

The training lasts for three months (12 weeks) and includes not only theoretical instruction but also hands-on practical sessions under the guidance of experienced instructors. Trainees will have the opportunity to learn how to operate specialized electric transport vehicles in real-life conditions.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will receive a state-recognized qualification certificate. This credential not only confirms their newly acquired knowledge and skills but also provides a pathway to official employment at Kyivpastrans.

The program is open both through the company’s internal education initiatives and through referrals from the City Employment Center, thus expanding access for interested Kyiv residents.

Since the beginning of 2025, 159 drivers across various transport categories have already completed training at the center. In the coming months, new groups will be formed to train future tram and bus drivers. Enrollment for these specializations is expected to start in the fall.
