Diia.Education issues over 6 million certificates and expands audience reach

The national educational platform Diia.Education has surpassed the milestone of 6 million completion certificates issued. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the project demonstrates consistent audience engagement growth and significantly impacts the population's digital literacy levels. Approximately 600,000 new users join the platform annually.

The primary learning activity is observed among citizens aged 18 to 44, with youth aged 18–30 accounting for the largest share, while women constitute approximately two-thirds (66%) of the overall audience. The platform operates across all regions of Ukraine, including the temporarily occupied territories. The highest attendance rates were recorded in Kyiv, as well as in Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. Additionally, about 10% of traffic comes from Ukrainians abroad, primarily from Poland, Germany, and the United States.

The national "Cyfrogram" test remains a key tool for self-assessing digital skills, successfully passed by nearly 1.6 million citizens. This testing suite evaluates the ability to use modern technologies, efficiently search for information, protect personal data, and access electronic government services. The tool is in high demand among educators, healthcare workers, civil servants, and librarians.

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the proportion of the adult population lacking basic digital skills has declined from 15% to 4% since 2019. Currently, 58% of Ukrainians possess at least basic digital literacy, matching the European Union average. The state's strategic goal is to equip 80% of the adult population with basic digital competencies by 2030.

As noted by Ruslana Korenchuk, CEO of Diia.Education and CDTO Campus, a person's employment prospects, online safety, and ability to delegate routine tasks to artificial intelligence directly depend on these skills today.

Concurrently, the popularity of educational series continues to grow: users have received over 4 million completion documents for watching them, with the ten most popular courses accounting for 1.7 million certificates issued. The most sought-after topics include cyber hygiene, online safety, accessibility, media literacy, and anti-corruption. The undisputed leader among educational products is the "Basics of Cyber Hygiene" course, successfully completed by more than 310,000 people.

Issued certificates serve as official proof of acquired knowledge, with select programs offering European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits. To support employment, users can integrate their certificates into their personal profiles in the Career Studio, where a specialized AI editor helps outline their professional experience in a structured format.

Based on the Cyfrogram results, an AI guide creates personalized learning pathways and checklists from a catalog currently comprising over 850 educational products. As part of its broader strategy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation also plans further expansion of the Diia system's functionality, including the implementation of new AI tools in education, scaling the 5G network, and launching mechanisms to attract investment into the domestic technology sector.
