The RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation is launching a new intake of veterans for free training in the solar energy sector

To address the shortage of qualified personnel in the energy sector, the RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation has announced the launch of applications for the nationwide professional training program "Solar ReStart". The educational project is designed to equip male and female veterans, as well as their family members, with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills in renewable energy. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between labor market needs and existing educational programs, offering participants an opportunity to acquire a sought-after profession free of charge, along with subsequent job placement assistance.

The training is designed for 40 trainees with a technical background and covers two tracks: solar power plant (SPP) design and installation. The design track consists of 18 online sessions, making it fully inclusive and accessible to individuals with any level of mobility. The installation specialization includes 12 online lectures and 5 days of hands-on training at operational sites in safe locations, with full reimbursement of travel expenses provided by the organizers.

In addition to technical training, the program provides psychological support to assist with adaptation to civilian life, career counseling, and direct interaction with industry employers. Graduates who successfully pass the final assessment will receive certificates, while the top-performing participants will have the opportunity to complete an internship at partner energy companies. Applications for the "Solar ReStart 2026" course are open from August 5 to August 24, 2026, via official registration forms.
