In October, the educational program “IT for Veterans” will be launched by EPAM, designed specifically for Ukrainian defenders. This free online course will help veterans master a new profession in the tech field, even for those with no prior IT experience. The training consists of two stages: first, veterans will gain fundamental knowledge in computer science, programming, and mathematics. Afterwards, they can choose a specialization — from Java and .NET to testing, frontend development, or working with cloud technologies. The program lasts 12 to 14 weeks, with classes held three times a week in the evenings, making it convenient for different life situations.
Organizers emphasize that the main goal of the project is not only to provide technical knowledge but also to support veterans in their process of social adaptation. Training takes place in small groups with the involvement of teachers and mentors, creating a friendly and safe atmosphere.
To join, participants need to complete a simple registration, take an English language test, and answer a few questions. The number of spots is limited, and enrollment will close once the required number of participants is reached. The program is scheduled to start in October 2025.
